Rachael Wiegel, D.C.
Dr. Rachael Moilanen Wiegel grew up in Bismarck, ND. In her adolescence she was involved in gymnastics, softball, volleyball, soccer, cheerleading and dance. Dr. Rachael had her first experience with chiropractic in high school after a bad landing doing jump splits in Demonette practice. After her first visit she was back and dancing immediately. She continued her dance career in Fargo, ND as an NDSU Dance Team member competing at a national level. Dr. Rachael lived in Grenoble, France for a semester and graduated with a French degree on her return.
To pursue her passion for chiropractic care she moved to Bloomington, MN to attend Northwestern Health Sciences University where she received her chiropractic degree and acupuncture board certification in 2007. While at NWHSU she had the opportunity to intern in impoverished communities across Costa Rica. Dr. Rachael had the opportunity to work with patients ranging in ages from 6 years of age to 94. She also saw cases from back pain, plantar fascitis, to working with a child bound in a wheelchair with cerebral palsy. This experience had such an impact on her that she plans to go back as a supervisor in the near future.
She worked at a wonderful family clinic in south Minneapolis for the last several years until deciding to relocate back to Bismarck with her husband, Dr. Lance, to be closer to family. Drs. Rachael and Lance are excited about their new venture in Bismarck and hope to establish a reputable family oriented clinic. She does have a special interest in pre and postnatal care and pediatrics. Dr. Rachael does practice acupuncture on a daily basis with great efficacy.
Dr. Rachael is also involved in coaching cheerleading at Horizon Middle School and University of Mary. She does continue to be active by practicing yoga, working out with her cheerleaders, golfing and participating in softball.
Lance Wiegel, D.C.
He received scholarships to attend University of Northern Iowa where he graduated with an Exercise Science degree before moving on to post graduate school.
Dr. Lance attended Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, MN where he received his chiropractic degree in 2007 and his acupuncture certification in 2009. After graduating Dr. Lance provided home care treatments for individuals throughout the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area. A major portion of his patient base was Hispanic so he became proficient in understanding and speaking Spanish. Dr. Lance enjoyed the home care experience as it allowed him to become integrated in his patient’s family dynamics. Prior to relocating to Bismarck he worked at a well-established multidisciplinary family clinic. This experience helped influence him into his next step of opening his own family practice with his wife, Dr. Rachael, in her hometown.
Bismarck is quite a distance from Dr. Lance’s home, but shares the same small town values that he grew up around. He has had the opportunity of helping his father-in-law at his business, Bis-Man Tractors in Mandan, where enjoys hearing and sharing tales with local farmers. Dr. Lance is involved in The Young Professionals Network in Bismarck and is a member of the Elk’s Club. In his spare time he enjoys playing softball, running, swimming, fishing and learning about the past and current culture in Bismarck. Dr. Lance does have a special skill of working with personal and automobile injury but also enjoys incorporating his exercise science degree when working with athletes.
Dr. Lance is also on the Professional Development and Entrepreneur Team at the YP Network.
Sarah Herold, LMT
Massage Therapist
Sarah’s interest in massage began in college when her mom booked a massage. She came out feeling better in a way that she hadn’t before and knew that she wanted to help others the same way. After graduating from BSC with an Associates in Science and Art, she attended National American University in Sioux Falls, SD where she received an Associates of Science in Massage Therapy.
Sarah began practicing massage therapy in 2001 in Bismarck before moving to Minneapolis for most of her career. After moving back to Bismarck to be closer to family, she was given the opportunity to work with Dr. Rachael and Dr. Lance.
She has studied many modalities, including Myofacial Release Technique™️, deep tissue massage, Swedish massage, cupping & active isolate stretching or PNF stretching. She is a firm believer that massage, chiropractic care and acupuncture, especially when used together, are important tools for living a long and active life with less stress and restriction to your body.
